NELA SHRM offers one professional scholarship to NELA SHRM members seeking their SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. This scholarship awards $600 to be reimbursed for tuition expenses for the SHRM CP/ SHRM SCP Exam Preparation Course offered through ULM continuing education. You have one year after receiving notification to complete the course.

Eligibility

• Member of NELA SHRM for a minimum of one year
• Meet eligibility requirements for SHRM Certification

Application Deadline

April 1, 2024 - May 15, 2024

How to Apply

• Complete and submit application
• Submit current resume (or academic transcript if applicable)
• Provide one letter of reference (letter may be addressed to the ‘Review Committee' and should provide insight into your character, academic or career and volunteer accomplishments, work ethic, and values. May be written by work or volunteer colleague, professor, coach, etc., but should not come from a family member)

Selection Process

Applications are evaluated and scored by a committee appointed by the NELA SHRM board. All decisions are final. Each grant is a one-time scholarship.

Scholarship Distribution

If you are selected to receive a NELA SHRM Certification scholarship, you will receive the award after successful completion of the SHRM CP/ SHRM SCP Exam Preparation Course offered through ULM continuing education. The instructor of record must verify that you participated and completed the course.
